Have you ever wondered why you enjoy the company of some people whereas some annoyed you?
You might have heard this word in your physics class or in practicals. Yes, I’m talking about the term ‘Resonance’. Remember in physics practical, when we strike a tuning fork and brought near to the other forks then another tuning fork(s) of the same pitch or tone begins to vibrate with the first fork. Exciting! Isn’t it?
Origin of the word Resonance is from the Latin verb “resonate”, which means “return to sound.” that is to sound and resound, similar to as an echo. There are so many types of resonance, even I know only a few of them but I love this word.
Every object in this universe has its natural frequency. When this frequency matches to any forced vibration, it can cause a great destruction. This resonance is so powerful, it can be easily understood by the fact that the army/ soldiers have to break their steps to cross a bridge so that it would not resonate with their marching and result to collapse. The same reason is valid for the collapsing of glass windows near the aerodrome.
But when we talk about this resonance as an essential part of the communication skills, it can do a wonderful job. Effective communication is the paramount of all life skills. The main motto of this communication is the successful conveying or sharing of ideas and feelings and above all mutual understanding. If you have these qualities while you communicate than you can resonate to anyone. It can mesmerize your audience, readers and listeners.
In a simpler way Resonance can be understood as a merging of energy moving to and fro between the two bodies or more. When you resonate with somebody, you feel attached to them. It’s the best part of the communication.
This resonance can uplift our mood. You can resonate to anything like listening to music, going shopping, reading a book, by talking to someone you resonate with and many more. Even we can resonate with nature (looking at sunrise or sunset, sitting beside the beaches, listening to the chirping of birds, greenery, etc.), the most beautiful creation of God. It has a relaxing, soothing effect on our mind. To resonate with Nature is a promising way to increase your positive frequency to unearth the best out of you.
So next time be careful when you give your valuable time to someone or be aware of your surroundings. Be with the people that flow positivity inside you. That force you to bring out your best. And that makes you the best, potential version of yourself. And motivate yourself by the inspiring thought of Jim Rohn –

“Don’t join an easy crowd. Go where the expectations and the demands to perform and achieve are high.”
